"The objective of López Miras trying to prohibit the demonstrations on March 8 is none other than to silence women, but he will not achieve it, because this fight is already unstoppable," he indicated.
Likewise, he recalled that, although the PSOE is not going to participate in any demonstration, demonstrating is a fundamental right that citizens have, so this type of claims cannot be prohibited, in addition to the fact that Public Health has not issued any order unfavorable about it.
On the other hand, Gloria Alarcón has remarked that there is no express order from the regional government for public attendance at stadiums and sports venues, so it makes no sense to prohibit the March 8 demonstrations.
"López Miras shows, once again, that his objective is to criminalize women, simply for claiming what is fair and for what they have been fighting for so many years, real equality between men and women," he concluded.
