| The maximum amount of the grant is 176,242 euros for the prevention and awareness of violence against women | The Official Gazette of the Region of Murcia has published this week the decree approving the special regulations governing the direct granting of subsidies for social sector entities for the implementation of projects in the area of ??comprehensive care for women victims of violence of genre. The lines of action of the subsidized projects are aimed at preventing and combating violence against women in situations of special vulnerability and / or in contexts of social exclusion, through the implementation of specific plans that involve the development of guidance, support, treatment and social reintegration. The maximum amount of this concession is 176,242 euros.
These grants are framed in the State Pact and are of public, social and humanitarian interest as prevention and awareness measures against violence against women, to facilitate the social participation of women and so that they can overcome any type of discrimination by reason of sex in the Region of Murcia. The beneficiaries of this grant are the Fundación Iniciativa Solidaria Ángel? Tomás with 21,834 euros, the Collective Association 'La? Huertecica' with 110,000 euros, the Fundación Solidaridad y Reintegration with 18,407 euros and the Tienda Asilo de San? Pedro Foundation with 26,000 euros. The crisis caused by Covid-19 is assuming an emergency both at a regional and international level from an economic and social point of view, as it is affecting the well-being of citizens. This context has led the Ministry of Women, Equality, LGTBI, Families and Social Policy to give specific support to groups that were already in a situation of risk and even social exclusion, such as women victims of gender violence; hence, among other projects, the one on the gender gap is published, aimed at promoting equal opportunities between men and women, through awareness-raising and prevention of gender violence in the Region of Murcia.
