| This course has enrolled 131 students, 15 in the middle cycle of Gardening and Floristry, 24 in Agriculture and 30 in the degree superior of Landscaping and Rural Environment, plus those enrolled in the second courses | The Integrated Center for Agrarian Training and Experiences (CIFEA) of Torre Pacheco, dependent on the Ministry of Water, Agriculture, Livestock, Fisheries and Environment, has started, one more year, the new academic year that this time will have 131 students enrolled. A course in which the Law for the Protection and Recovery of the Mar Menor and good agricultural practices will be very present in the training of new middle and higher level technicians of the agrarian family, in addition to knowledge about sustainable, responsible agriculture and health guarantee. It is a fundamental training for the correct application of the new requirements determined for sectors such as agriculture or livestock, the application of new cultivation techniques, saving and water efficiency, the treatment of slurry or the application of fertilizers. The new course begins with 15 enrollments in the middle cycle of Gardening and Floristry, 24 in Agriculture and 30 in the higher degree of Landscaping and Rural Environment, plus those enrolled in the second courses. The Ministry has arranged in this center the necessary material, such as masks, hand gel, as well as posters and signage, in compliance with the regulations and rigorous health protocols, motivated by the Covid-19 pandemic.
For its part, the management team, with the help of the center's staff, has prepared the facilities and taken measures to avoid contagion and to be able to carry out teaching activities as normally as possible. For the teaching activity, the courses have been divided into two groups and when the number of students is greater than 15, they attend class on alternate days and the rest follow the teachings by videoconference.
In addition to imparting training cycles, the center conducts training for employment and technical conferences on technology transfer.
