More than 10 percent of pharmacy offices in the Region are open 24 hours a day. These new pharmacy offices will be located in ten municipalities.
Specifically, an office has been awarded in the pharmaceutical areas of Alhama de Murcia; Puente Tocinos, in Murcia; San Antón, in Cartagena; Roldán, in Torre Pacheco; Totana; Caravaca de la Cruz; neighborhood of the Fourth district, in Jumilla; and Archena.
Likewise, two pharmacy offices are granted in the areas of San Diego, in Lorca, and in the urban core and urbanization area of ??Molina de Segura. The Ministry of Health has awarded the new offices after the merit contest held last year.
The award procedure has been adjusted to the principles of competitive competition, publicity, transparency, merit and capacity. For the evaluation of merits, a commission was formed in this regard, made up of five members, two of whom were appointed by the Official College of Pharmacists of the Region of Murcia and the other three, public officials, by the General Directorate of Planning, Research, Pharmacy and Citizen Services. After evaluating the applications, the pharmacy offices have been awarded to the twelve contestants with the highest scores.
The procedure for designating the premises and effective opening of pharmacies is now beginning.
