The Department of Women and Equal Opportunities has awarded a total of seven grants amounting to 12,000 euros for non-profit organizations for activities relating to equal opportunities between women and men in the town.
The granting of such subsidies is part of the II Plan for Equal Opportunities Totana to meet the objectives framed in the area of development and social participation.
Therefore, the Governing Board at its last meeting, agreed to grant these subvenci0ones, who explained to Councilman Women and Equal Opportunities, Maria Josefa Sanchez's primary goal is "to financially support nonprofit organizations in order to strengthen and consolidate the women's associations, enhance participation of women in all spheres of life and establish a line of support for the development of activities that promote equal opportunities in the town of Totana.
Entities that have been beneficiaries of these subsidies have been the Association of Amas de Casa de Totana, the Housewives Association of Labor, the Women's Socio-Cultural Association Totanera, the Association of Amas de Raiguero Rural Women, the Association of Amas de Casa "Let's start walking" of Raiguero Under the Association of Amas and Amos House "Same-da" of Paretón and Welcomes Murcia (Delegation in Totana).
