The Bishop of the Diocese of Cartagena, Jose Manuel Lorca Planes, today presided over the Mass which was held in the parish of Santiago El Mayor on the occasion of the feast of the patron saint of Totana, Santa Eulalia de Merida.
Numerous parishioners, civil and religious authorities and representatives of the Board of Holy Foundation, attended the Mass celebrated in the parish church coinciding with the patron saint's day.
Religious events continue today, starting at 17:00, with the solemn procession with the statue of the patron who travel the main streets of the town.
Moreover, from tomorrow, the 11th, and until December 19 will be held the solemn novena in honor of St. Eulalia of Mérida by the vicar Juan Tudela Garcia;
and Sunday 13 will be held the traditional offering of flowers to the patron.
