La Guardia Civil de Murcia, in collaboration with staff of the Directorate General of Livestock and Fisheries of the Autonomous Region of Murcia, immobilized on the 30th of last August in a pig farm Totana (Murcia), 107 pigs who were in a state of neglect, "Operation Pig".

In facilities that lacked municipal license to open, were found also 14 pigs killed at different stages of decomposition.

Most animals did not have access to any food Live animals have been frozen at the disposal of the competent authority.

The actions taken will be forwarded to the Ministry of Agriculture and Water of the Autonomous Region of Murcia, may constitute several offenses relating to animal health and welfare.
