"These demonstrations are a sign that the policies of cuts and austerity of the PP can be fought with organization and involvement of all / as."

In recent years, the deterioration of public services, such as health or education, have been linked to the brutal cuts in labor rights, replacing stable employment with precarious contracts, cutting unemployment benefits and the consequent weakening of security contributions. Social, fomenting Labor Fraud up to unsustainable limits.

In the region of Murcia, most pensions are between 600 and 800 €, being the third CCAA of Spain with lower pensions.

If we talk about pensions for widowhood, women whose spouse dies, they have 52% of the pension that corresponded to the deceased, so thousands of women in our region have to survive with 300 or 400 €, or with pensions non-contributory that never exceed € 370 per month.

"There is a large" gender gap "in the area of pensions that severely affects women.

Statistically, women have shorter work trajectories due mainly to losing or having to leave employment in the ages associated with motherhood, to which we must add that women suffer from lower contribution bases and lower-paid jobs than men. , what is known as the "wage gap", and which is very widespread in Spain.

All this results in that the average pension of women is 40% lower than that of men. "They affirm from Ganar Totana.

The PSOE Labor Reforms, which lowered and facilitated the dismissal, and the even more nefarious Popular Party Reform that resulted in high levels of unemployment, job insecurity, misery wages and abusive hiring, and the departure of young people who have to leaving Spain to work in other countries, contributed decisively to the deficit of Social Security.

The contributions do not cover the expenses and the Government has systematically resorted to emptying the so-called Pension Reserve Fund.

If we do not act against these policies now, tomorrow the pensions will be of misery and the future pensioners will suffer the consequences.

"In this situation, the organization and citizen mobilization is more important than ever, we must fight for our basic rights and participate in the concentrations in defense of Health, Education, Labor Rights or the Public Pension System, since it depends on our future.

Proof of the success of these demonstrations is the 3% increase in the lowest pensions, after it was ascertained that they could only be revised by 0.25% because "a higher increase was not possible".

The problem is that the priorities of the Popular Party are oriented to other issues, since they do not tremble when it comes to cutting social rights while spending billions to rescue highways and banks with public money.

That is why from Ganar Totana we continue to call for active participation in these concentrations. "
