Alcantarilla hosted last Thursday, March 1, the Regional Final of Playing Athletics School Sports, organized by the General Directorate of Sports of the Region of Murcia, where participated the "Tierno Galvan" Totana, both in the male and female .
This test consisted of six different modalities: Soft javelin throw, 10x10 meters run, medicine ball throw, lateral jump, double long jump from standstill and relay race.
Each team was made up of five students, so that each of them had one assigned test plus the relay, and then also another raffled test.
In the male modality, the "Tierno de Galván" School in Totana was part of Group IV, together with the teaching centers Manuela Romero (Mazarrón), Villa de Ulea, Sagrada Familia (Cartagena), Bienvenido Conejero (Los Alcázares) and San Pablo (Abarán), being finally in the fifth group position in the first phase.
Only the first of each group passed to the final phase, where a final race called Grand Prix was disputed.
Regarding the female modality, the totanero team of Tierno Galván was framed in group I, along with the following schools: Sagrada Familia (Cartagena), Anita Arnao (Mula), Al-Kazar (Los Alcázares), Infanta Cristina (Murcia) ) and Jacinto Benavente (Sewer);
being finally in third position of this first group stage.
