On the morning of Sunday, February 25, the V edition of the Base Air Race organized by the Air Force and the Town Hall of Sewer where the good organization and its large bag of the corridor prevailed.
The test consisted of two modalities, one of 5 km and the other of 14 km, in this edition more than a thousand and a half people attended.
The members of the CAT participated in the 14 km modality that ran through the main streets of Alcantarilla, Sangonera la Seca and inside the Air Base.
The first athlete of the Totana Athletics Club to cross the finish line was Raul Cifuentes, finished as 5th overall and 1st in the Más Más category with a time of 48 minutes and 46 seconds.
After him came Hipólito Alcaraz in 41 position of the general with a time of 53 minutes and 18 seconds, being 14 in the Master category More 35;
Carlos Ballester in the position 45 of the general, 12 in the Máster Más más category with a time of 53 minutes and 20 seconds;
Pedro Jesús Cánovas finished in position 122 and 24 in the Senior category with a time of 57 minutes 37 seconds.
At that same time the International Marathon of Seville was played, where CAT member Edu Lucas participated, who managed to finish the 42 km and 195 meters in a great time of 3 hours, 14 minutes and 32 seconds finishing among the 2,000 first participants in a race in which more than 9,400 runners participated and won the Kenyan Tuwei Dickson with a time of 2 hours and 8 minutes.
