More than 6,130 students will join the classroom classes tomorrow at the different levels of education in the municipality of Totana, after it has not been possible since the 2020/21 school year began due to the effects of the pandemic and it remained since then the telematic mode.In this way, Totana is the last municipality in the Region of Murcia that begins face-to-face classes, resuming them since last March they were interrupted by the state of alarm as a result of the COVID-19 epidemic.A total of 1,223 students in Early Childhood Education, 2,363 in Primary Education and 1,724 in ESO will gradually join the classes starting tomorrow.
In addition, 505 are studying in Baccalaureate, 204 in Middle and Higher Degree Cycles and 114 in Vocational Training, according to sources from the Department of Education.Similarly, the "Clara Campoamor" Municipal Infant School, with a total of approximately 35 students, also begins tomorrow, although the concerted ones did so a few weeks ago.The Ministry of Education has transferred the protocols to the different educational centers of Totana in order to make the incorporations staggered and following all the criteria of protection and social self-protection that avoid contagion and guarantee the quality levels of teaching.The Totana City Council wants to thank the work and effort, not without difficulties, that the educational communities of the municipality have made since March, which include management teams, teachers, students, families and AMPAS, to cope with time confinement and this type of teaching.The municipality of Totana currently has eleven centers for Infant and Primary Education and ESO; and two IES that teach ESO and Baccalaureate.
