| The City Council maintains, together with several NGOs that operate in Totana, the support network for information and advice on the Minimum Vital Income | The Totana City Council, together with different non-governmental organizations that operate in this municipality -ADEGES, Cáritas Tres Avemarías, Cruz Roja and El Candil- maintain the citizen support network in terms of information and advice on the Minimum Vital Income (IMV) , a non-contributory Social Security benefit. The National Institute of Social Security (INSS) is the competent body for the processing and resolution of files, although the Department of Social Welfare activated this service in mid-July. However, in order to support the residents of Totana in the face of doubts and difficulties that may arise in relation to the aforementioned service, the aforementioned entities have put into operation a service mechanism consisting of a web form that is accessed through the link located on the municipal website with the text "Information on the minimum vital income". In this section, indicating name, surname, telephone number and / or email, interested persons can make the query they need so that one of these entities can contact them, trying to clarify their doubts and even help them in the processing within his possibilities.
These entities will be coordinated with each other at all times to avoid duplication, inconsistencies and offer a unified response to neighbors. Likewise, it is reported that through the efforts made by the mayor of this City Council together with those of other municipalities and with the support of the Provincial Directorate of the INSS, it has been achieved that the certificate of historical and collective registration, a mandatory document for the IMV request that until now had to be provided by the user together with the request, from now on it will be the INSS itself who requests it ex officio from the City Council, thus facilitating the procedures to interested persons. In addition, the INSS informs that it will also ex officio request the SEF for accreditations on employment claims.
