However, the mayor has added that if someone believes that they have not proceeded according to the Law, "I put my position and my responsibility as councilor of Activity Licenses."In addition, he stressed that there are other premises in Totana, with characteristics very similar to this one, located in semi-basements, such as gyms, butchers, cafes, discotheques, headquarters of associations, which continue to operate by having a previous license issued at the time that its activity was implemented.

If any of these premises wanted to change its use, it should undergo a review of the updated regulations, the mayor said. For his part, the Councilor for Citizen Security and Police has reported on all the interventions that have been carried out by police officers during this time; and it has indicated that the neighbors have been listened to and the complaints have been dealt with whenever they have existed, with the Local Police coming to appear up to 4 times in the premises in the same night due to the inconvenience to the neighbors.Agustín Gonzalo Martínez wanted to highlight that from the police reports "some problems of civility" emerge on public roads, but "in no case serious breaches of the marked protection and security measures of COVID-19 inside the premises, which it would have meant its immediate closure.

”Likewise, it has reported that the Local Police has carried out a total of 18 interventions of different nature and reasons in this place - it has broken them down on a scheduled basis -, even registering three disciplinary proceedings for excess in the permitted closing hours. The mayor of Police has related and justified each one of the interventions of the agents in this place of nightlife in recent months, adding that "there has been no inaction or cessation of duties."Lastly, the mayor of Totana explained that the procedure "has been carried out in accordance with the Law and has been acted with the utmost rigor to curb and ensure respect for the rights of the neighbors."He also recalled that, in this legislature, a premises has been closed for administrative reasons and is about to be done with another for the same reason; and added that "my hand is not going to shake when closing any premises as long as the technical reports so dictate, and not incurring prevarication."All have agreed to point out that it would be advisable to provide the municipalities with the necessary tools to have independence and power when determining whether a premises should be closed due to disturbances on public roads, but, for the moment, the Department of Licensing of Activity is only competent of the state of compliance of the room of doors inside.
