Ancient music once again floods the most emblematic places of Sierra Espuña in person thanks to the municipalities of Aledo, Pliego and Totana and the Early Music ProjectThe Department of Culture and Tourism reports that tickets for early music concerts in Sierra Espuña are already on sale, along with a tourist pack.

For this edition, and for health reasons, the place chosen to enjoy old music in Totana will be the courtyard of the Santuario de la Santa, within the activities programmed by the Totana City Council. The concert, by the Cantoría group, will take place this Friday, July 24, with a first show at 9:00 p.m.

and last at 11:00 p.m.

It can be complemented with a tourist pack, which includes a dinner and overnight stay at Jardines la Santa, thanks to the collaboration of the Tourist Association of the Sierra Espuña Territory. Cantoría is established in the summer of 2016 within the framework of the ECOS Festival, although it originates from the Superior School of Music of Catalonia.

It is made up of Inés Alonso (soprano), Samuel Tapia (countertenor), Jorge Losana (tenor and director) and Valentín Miralles (bass). The program they will perform, and which they have called Bad Languages, is mainly based on the vocal music of the Spanish Golden Age, made up, among others, of the Palacio Musical Songbook, the Medinaceli Songbook or the Uppsala and Gandía Songbooks.

Along with the investigation of historically informed interpretive techniques, Cantoría explores and takes advantage of the theatrical and communicative nature of Renaissance vocal music and investigates the vocal techniques of the Iberian Renaissance. This enjoyment caused by the music-heritage symbiosis will be complemented by a tourist pack, in collaboration with the Tourist Association of the Sierra Espuña Territory.

The public will have the opportunity to enjoy dinners and tastings, before or after the concerts, depending on the time of the corresponding pass.

At the Totana concert, the dinner will take place at Jardines La Santa, a collaborator in the organization of the event and where they can stay overnight.

Upon arrival at the venue, and always before concerts. The realization of this concert, along with the other two organized by the Aledo and Pliego City Councils, complements the digital edition of the ECOS FESTIVAL 2020, made up of a digital plan of 6 videos, recorded in each of the 6 municipalities of the Sierra Territory Foam.

The concert in Totana has been recorded in the Santuario de la Santa by the organist and harpsichordist Silvia Márquez, and will premiere on the festival's social networks on Friday, July 24.The priority of the City Council and the organization is "to guarantee the safety of the public and of the artists", as they indicate.

Therefore, in addition to reducing the capacity, the use of a mask will be imposed as mandatory at all times.

It will be necessary to disinfect with hydroalcoholic gel before entering the premises, always respecting the safety distance of 1.5 meters. The price of tickets will be 5 euros, and can be purchased from this Tuesday through the Internet on the Eventbrite platform.
