The two Day Centers for Dependent People in Totana will reopen gradually with all their services starting next Wednesday, July 1, since the Totana City Council has received official authorization from the Murcian Institute of Social Action (IMAS) of the Ministry of Women, Equality, LGTBI, Families and Social Policy.The Day Centers for Dependent People are the Centers for the Elderly in the Plaza Balsa Vieja and the one located next to the Municipal Center for Social Services, on Calle Real in this town.Both centers will initially open with 50% of users, attending alternate days, with all the usual transportation and maintenance services, among others; and with the same schedule as always, according to sources from the Department of Social Welfare.Senior CenterOn the other hand, the Municipal Social Centers for the Elderly of the Plaza de la Balsa Vieja and El Paretón will remain closed until September to prevent the spread of contagion by COVID-19, and may be extended if the competent authorities consider it appropriate and taking into account taking into account the epidemiological data of the pandemic in the Region.The City Council agreed a few days ago the new opening already in September following the technical recommendations of the Murcian Institute of Social Action (IMAS), given the high risk of contagion due to the special vulnerability of people who use these services.
