| The Ministry, which published this week in the BORM the call for the next course, increases the income thresholds in all its sections in order to benefit a greater number of families | These grants are in addition to those of the free textbook program, a system that will reach more than 97,000 studentsThe Ministry of Education and Culture has published this week in the Official Gazette of the Region of Murcia (BORM) the call for study grants for students enrolled in compulsory levels of education for the next academic year 2020-2021 to which the Community intended 2,464,712 euros.The maximum amount of these grants will be 110 euros per student enrolled in Primary and 150 euros per student enrolled in Compulsory Secondary Education (ESO).

On this occasion, the Ministry has increased the income thresholds in all its sections in order to benefit a greater number of families.These grants are intended for students who need it most from those courses in which textbooks are not available free of charge, so they can be requested by first and second Primary and second, third and fourth Education students.

Compulsory Secondary (ESO).

They will be granted until the maximum of the credit provided for all the applications submitted is exhausted.The Ministry of Education and Culture foresees that some 20,000 students from the Region of Murcia can benefit from these grants.

In the current academic year 2019-2020, a total of 15,637 students have benefited from them, of which 5,919 have completed first and second Primary and 9,718, from first to second of ESO.These study grants are added to those of the free textbook program, a system that will reach more than 97,000 students in the Region and that the Ministry of Education and Culture continues with its progressive implementation, incorporating for the next academic year 2020- 2021 to the ESO first-year students, who will be recipients of the 'book bank', along with those already incorporated, in the two previous courses: 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th of Primary.
