| Neighbors are also asked to maintain self-control standards and rigorous safety and hygiene measures | The Mayor's Office communicates that starting tomorrow, Saturday, May 22, the Municipal Cemetery "Nuestra Señora del Carmen" will open without limits, with a schedule from 8:00 to 20:00, uninterrupted. This measure of total openness without limits of access is authorized after the citizens have demonstrated their capacity for self-management on visits to the cemetery, and given the favorable epidemiological evolution registered by Totana in recent days. The Municipal Cemetery of Totana opened its doors on May 14, after almost two months closed by the crisis caused by COVID-19, with a maximum capacity of 40 people. In any case, from now on, all the rigorous security and hygiene measures established in general by the health authorities are maintained, requiring visitors to wear masks and keep safety distances of at least two meters, as well as carry household cleaning utensils.Until today, a split morning and afternoon schedule was established, closing a few hours at noon; that from tomorrow it will change, lending itself uninterruptedly in order to make it more staggered and urging visitors to maintain reasonable self-control in visits throughout the day.The mayor, Juan José Cánovas, has highlighted the good sense of the residents of Totana after its reopening almost two weeks ago, with an average of 70 daily visits to the cemetery; which has made it possible to expand and improve service relief measures.
