The Department of Commerce has carried out today, before a notary public, the draw for the placement of the 32 food stalls that will be installed already this week in the Weekly Market, whose act has been held in the plenary hall with the presence of representatives of this professional sector. The Totana Weekly Market will resume this next Wednesday, May 20, in a reduced section of Rambla de La Santa Avenue (upstream right side), from the urban intersections of Cruz de los Hortelanos streets to Alberto Gray, respectively. The service will be launched for the visit of users starting at 7:30 am, and Civil Protection volunteers will establish controls at the entrance (height of the main door of the municipal park) and exit (corner of the Centro Salud Totana Norte), respectively. In addition, the capacity will be limited and the temperature will be taken for people who want to access the premises, the use of protective masks being mandatory and keeping the social safety distances. The mayor, Juan José Cánovas, and the councilor, Javier Baños, agreed last Friday night on the conditions of this municipal public service after addressing the advisability after analyzing the Public Health and Safety reports issued by the Local Police. The proposed venue does not affect residential housing; and the enclosure will be perimeter, avoiding access through unmarked areas. The service is going to be launched but users must understand that, at all, it will be provided with the traditional conditions that are known, marking the corridors for transit, and guaranteeing the social distance of two meters in any case. In the access points there will be information elements and posters that inform about the protection measures; and the control personnel will inform about the need to use the protection means and the obligation not to touch the articles.

In addition, there will be litter bins and waste disposal areas throughout the market. The maximum surface dimensions of each station will be 6.00 by 3.00 meters; so that the posts will guarantee a distance of 3 meters between posts, in parallel. The posts will be separated by 8.94 meters at the front, which will be marked with beacons or markings, so that the traffic of entry and exit becomes fluid, and a social distance, even in ambulation, of two meters is guaranteed.

. Finally, users are urged to become aware of the measures and recommendations, and to understand that in no case will this public service be anything like what is traditionally known in this town.
