The mayor, Juan José Cánovas, warns the entrepreneurs of the "El Saladar" industrial estate in Totana that all the industries that have not adapted their production to the necessary manufacturing of the state of alarm must obligatorily stop their activity without exception, as they are also leaving to intensify controls in this regard.

All non-essential economic activity must be stopped, at least, for the next two weeks remaining in the state of alarm under the Council of Ministers agreement concluded last weekend.

The first mayor has sent a notification to the companies installed in the Totana industrial park reminding them that all those industries whose production has not adapted to the manufacture of sanitary material or that are not considered critical for the supply of food and supplies or goods of they cannot continue their activity until April 9 and until further notice.

This measure responds to the tightening of the measures of confinement of society and, for this, the inevitable and inexcusable reduction of business activities that have been carried out so far.

The mayor reminds employers that, as established by government regulations, that the situation of workers from March 30 to April 9, in principle, will be paid leave and they must later recover the hours of work not borrowed.

Juan José Cánovas appreciates the understanding and effort of the business fabric of Totana in these difficult times as a result of the coronavirus pandemic;

and points out that these are weeks in which we must all make our personal and professional contributions to combat this social and health crisis.
