On Saturday, February 15, the athletes of the CAT: Jesús Serrano, Poli Alcaraz and Pedro Cánovas collaborated in the "Local Athletics Phase", which was held at the Municipal Sports Center from 9 in the morning until 1 in the afternoon.
In this phase students from most of Totana's colleges and institutes participated, competing for teams of between five and eight participants, each team performed the tests of: long jump, weight throwing, relay and resistance.
On Sunday, February 16, the fifth edition of the Vrutrail was held with departure and finish at the Caruana estate.
As in the other editions, the course of the test underwent modifications with respect to the previous year and was known a few hours before departure.
The Vrutrail has an intermediate distance between the half marathon (21k) and the marathon (42k), usually between 28 and 35 km.
In this edition the test distance was 32km.
This year six CAT athletes performed the test: Jesús Martínez, Salva Andreo, Javier Jimenez, Borja Martínez, Rut Cánovas and Carlos Ballester.
Jesus was the first athlete of the CAT to cross the finish line, he did it in position 55 of the general and 11 in his category with a time of 3 hours and 29 minutes.
Salva finished 71 of the general and 16 of its category, performing the test in 3 hours and 43 minutes.
Javi made his first test as a CAT athlete in a time of 4 hours and 15 minutes, being 4th in the promise category.
Borja finished in position 134 of the general and 7th in promise with a time of 4 hours and 21 minutes.
Rut made the test with Carlos, both made the tour in 4 hours and 47 minutes, Rut entered the 24th position of the female general and 11 in its category.
Carlos finished in 80th place in his category.
