The facilities of the Santa Eulalia Petanque Club hosted last Saturday, January 25, the Local Phase of School Sports Petanque, organized by the Department of Sports of the City of Totana and the Santa Eulalia Petanque Club, which had the participation of twenty-two teams of the different schools of the locality, belonging to the juvenile and open categories, with a total of 73 participating schoolchildren.
In the juvenile category, the Reina Sofía B College won first place, while the Luís Pérez Rueda and Reina Sofía A schools occupied the second and third positions respectively.
As for the open category, the IES Prado Mayor dominated the competition, occupying the first three positions.
The competition concluded with the delivery of trophies and medals to the first three teams classified in each category by the Councilor for Sports, Agustín Gonzalo Martínez Hernández, and a representative of the Petanque Club Santa Eulalia, Diego Ãngel Méndez.
In addition, these teams will also have the opportunity to participate in the Petanque Regional School Sports Final, organized by the General Directorate of Sports of the Region of Murcia, on February 29 in Alguazas.
