The new Choir of the Public School Santiago de Totana has been officially presented at a public event that has taken place in the plenary hall of the City of Totana, which has been attended by the Councilor for Culture, Verónica Carricondo, and representatives of the educational community of this teaching center.
The choral group will offer its first concert and premiere in society this Sunday, December 22, in the parish of Santiago El Mayor, starting at 8:00 p.m.
and in which the 38 school members will present the repertoire they have been working on since last October.
The presentation was attended by members of the management team of the center, such as Alfonso Cifuentes Gálvez (director), Ramón Segura (head of studies) and Eduardo Monserrat (teacher and promoter of this pedagogical initiative);
as well as representatives of the Association of Mothers and Fathers and relatives of the participating students.
During the next few days, the CEIP Santiago Choir will participate in the Aledo Carols Contest (December 28), and will perform various performances in nursery schools, visits to nativity scenes and the "La Purísima" nursing home, among others.
The choir was born at the beginning of this school year with a vocation for continuity and aims to be an extracurricular offer complementary to the training activities offered by the center, in which music is used as a tool for the transmission of social values ​​for the integral formation of students, such as empathy, companionship, solidarity, effort, among others.
