Hairdressing and Aesthetics Choni Ruiz, Floristería Riquelme and Pierrot Floristas have won, in this order, the V Christmas Showcase Contest, which has been organized by the Department of Culture in order to promote the creativity of merchants when presenting their establishments and products during these Christmas holidays.
The Councilor for Culture, Verónica Carricondo, has delivered the awards to the winners, which have consisted of the prizes collected in the contest rules, and that were established for the 1st prize (150 euros), 2nd prize (100 euros) and 3rd prize (50 euros);
as well as commemorative gifts made in ceramics by the users of the Disability Day Centers.
The initiative aimed to favor the Christmas atmosphere of Totana shops at this time of the year, making them more attractive to neighbors and customers, while contributing to create a special festive atmosphere, on such marked dates, in the streets of municipality.
A total of 13 commercial establishments in Totana participated in the fifth edition of the contest.
The participating stores have been Miaw Atelier, Your Baby, The Detail, Hairdressing and Aesthetics Choni Ruiz, Baby Cafeteria, Dogo I Veterinary Clinic, Dogo II Veterinary Clinic, Riquelme Florist, Aldemur Travel, Pierrot Florists, It Boutique, Little Bel Children's Clothing and Decoration.
The decoration of the windows had to be directly related to the atmosphere of the Christmas Parties, valuing aspects such as artistic creation (originality, ingenuity and artistic wealth), materials used, composition and effort and laboriousness in the execution of the works.
The jury made visits to the registered establishments on December 16 and 17, during business opening hours, both morning and afternoon-evening in order to discern both with and without lighting.
This has been composed of the Councilor for Culture and two people of recognized experience in the field, in this case, Lorenzo Moreno Montero and Arantzazu Campos Sáiz.
