The mayor offers a reception to the councilor of Fatao (Mali)


In gratitude for the reception given to the Local Police, which promoted a solidarity campaign to collect school supplies and second-hand bicycles

The mayor, Juan José Cánovas, made an institutional reception last Tuesday to the town councilor of the town of Fatao (Mali), Mady Diagouraga, in order to thank the reception he gave to the totanera delegation of the Local Police who traveled to his country months ago to deliver school supplies and used bicycles, promoted by the Local Police in collaboration with Civil Protection and with the help of the NGO "Health for Africa".

Also present at the City Hall were the Local Police officer, Alfonso Canales, the head of the Civil Protection Volunteers Association, José María Sánchez, and the corporal of this Body, María Hernández Vivancos, a true promoter of this project in Totana.

Similarly, the head of this Mali town was accompanied by the translator Mady Couba Dabo and his security agent Brehima Dabo, respectively.

The first mayor Totanero thanked, on behalf of the Municipal Corporation and the Local Police of Totana, the welcome that his neighborhood community offered to the totanera cape in October 2018, on the occasion of the displacement he made to Mali to deliver all the material collected for the benefit of Fatao school communities.

The Local Police of Totana promoted during the past year in the different schools of the municipality a solidarity campaign to promote the collection of used bicycles and reusable school supplies for the aforementioned NGO.

During the charity initiative, which had the invaluable Civil Protection collaboration in Totana, more than 70 bicycles and numerous school supplies were collected from donations made by the educational communities of Totana;

and that was delivered on the trip that the agent made to Mali.

"Health for Africa" ​​is a newly created international non-profit association that has been working since mid-year on the development and action of programs to promote the improvement of the sanitary conditions of the African continent.

In addition, it is an organization that has been working since April 2017 in the health development cooperation of the African continent in order to address the limitations that public health systems have in this continent, through the development and action of programs for the Improvement of sanitary conditions.

This entity basically works in the health training of professionals as a tool to improve the quality of life of its inhabitants, stimulating the creation of entrenched and self-sustainable projects to encourage the quality and dignity of health care in an efficient, sustainable and growing manner.

The promoters monitor local health conditions, in health centers and hospitals that lack adequate sanitary equipment, and contribute through the training of professionals and the collection of reusable sanitary material for effective and dignified medical care of users .

The programs to improve sanitary conditions are based on the reception and distribution of hospital equipment and furniture donated by health systems in developed countries, in this case, individuals, organizations, companies and health systems;

the training of health personnel and the optimization of basic health services through their medical missions.

The work he has been doing, and with which the Local Police of Totana will actively collaborate, aims to contribute to the most vulnerable populations having access to health through cooperative actions that favor sustainable development processes and educational campaigns.
