The mayor of Totana, Juan José Cánovas, has received, on behalf of the Municipal Corporation and the citizenship of Totana, at the institutional and protocol level, the new commander in chief of the Air Combat Command of the General Corps of the Air Army EVA-13, Jaciento Alarcón Cervantes, who assumed his destiny on August 1 and took possession of it on the 21st of the same month.

The first mayor Totanero, who has held a meeting with the new military command, has offered his institutional collaboration and wished him the greatest personal and professional successes in this new journey that begins at the head of the quaint of the Morrón de Espuña.

Jacinto Alarcón comes to replace the former EVA-13 chief commander, Juan Carlos Giz Paz, who had also remained in the Headquarters of said Squadron of the General Corps of the Air Force since August 2, 2016.

Precisely, the City of Totana granted last May the Title of Recognition of the 25th Anniversary to the Air Surveillance Squadron number 13, also having a program of activities such as an exhibition in the municipal hall "Gregorio Cebrián".

This recognition was given by the former mayor, Andrés García, responding to the mandate of the municipal Corporation, to the head of the Air Combat Command (Macom) of the Air Force, Lieutenant General César Miguel Simón López, fruit of the loyal collaboration Between both institutions.
