The Day Centers for Disability of the City of Totana held last Friday its particular Entombment of the Sardine in the course of a festive cross day, which included the celebration of an act and fair sardinera.
The first deputy mayor, Juan José Cánovas, and councilors Javier Baños and Carlos Ballester accompanied the users and professionals in this activity, which has been carried out with great success in recent years.
From the different workshops and programs taught in these centers has worked for several weeks in order to enjoy this initiative, which also had the assistance of the students of schools Luís Pérez Rueda, La Milagrosa and Reina Sofía.
In addition, there was the participation of Doña Sardina, who this year starred the writer Morerica Galán, as well as users of the Day Center for the Elderly and the Day Center for Intellectual Disability of Mazarrón.
The day featured a sardine parade that departed from the CEIP Luis Pérez Rueda in the direction of Day Centers for Disability, through Carmen Conde Street, the poetry sardine recital by users of day centers and others teaching centers and the presentation of the sardines decorated in the different workshops and results of the contest votes for the subsequent pardon.
The Testament of the Sardine was read by Doña Sardina, Morerica Galán, and later burning of it.
Likewise, a Sardine Fair was held that included an exhibition, games, music and dance and the presentation of the prizes of the Photography Contest, held in the Autonomy Workshop.
