The owners of farms that must make use forced because they have no other possibility of communication of some of the stretches of the Greenway Campo de Cartagena-Totana to access their properties to request authorization as soon as possible to the Consortium of Greenways of the Region Murcia to access its land through the Greenway.
They can only use this infrastructure, in the sections that the Tourism Institute and the Greenways Consortium restrict the passage, vehicles and livestock of those owners or suppliers of farms that have no other possibility of access to their properties.
This procedure will always be carried out, prior authorization issued temporarily or permanently by this entity after the mandatory request and the relevant favorable report from the City Council;
and always taking into consideration the speed limitation and the priority of pedestrians, cyclists and other permitted users.
The application must be made through the Totana Town Hall, or other legally established means, presenting the following documentation: identification of the land owned by the interested party, polygon, plot and cadastral reference;
plan of situation of said lands;
justification for not having other access to land other than the Vía Verde;
and other observations considered necessary.
At present, the Tourism Institute is executing, in the stretch of Totana, improvement works linked to the initial project whose purpose is basically to increase the safety of the users of the aforementioned route.
The project of the Greenway Campo de Cartagena-Totana on the conditioning of the Totana-Cartagena railway line and its La Pinilla-Mazarrón branch for its use as greenways allowed the restitution of the trace, the existing firm arrangement, the placement of protection elements (metal and wooden railings), signaling and planting of species, among others.
The City Council already convened in February 2018 the farmers of Totana adjoining this infrastructure, in its non-paved section, in order to inform users of the Greenway on this project as well as the initial approval of the regulatory ordinance of the use and operation of it.
