The Department of Equality and Women of the City of Totana, in collaboration with the Murcia Acoge Association, has given shape to a space of knowledge of the environment among the female immigrant population of Totana, carrying out different activities to be carried out during the year 2018 / 19 at the Municipal Library "Mateo García".
Coinciding with the celebration of March 8, International Women's Day, various activities have been carried out to raise awareness and promote equality among the female immigrant population through an intercultural library initiative.
To this end, the technical collaboration of the Center for Attention to Gender Violence in Totana (CAVI) has been provided, which has offered a space of approximation and knowledge of resources regarding equality in Totana and the Region of Murcia.
In addition, enriching debates have been promoted on the situation of immigrant women in our contemporary society, the problem of gender inequality, the expectations of change, the conception of feminism between cultures, among other issues.
