The electoral committee of the Popular Party of Totana has appointed Juan Pagán Sánchez as a candidate for the Mayor of Totana for the May 2019 elections.
The current Deputy in the Assembly of Murcia will be the person who heads the list of the Popular Party to the elections to be held on May 26.
Juan Pagán, married and with two children, has dedicated his whole life to agriculture holding positions of responsibility in this area.
He is currently a Regional Deputy for Circumscription No. 1 in the IX Legislature of the Regional Assembly, acting as Vice President of the Commission on Territorial Policy, Environment, Agriculture and Water, has been a member of the Citizens' Committee on Petitions and Defense and member of the Special Water Commission.
In addition to the political positions such as being Councilor for Agriculture, Livestock, Water, Pedanías and Roads in the City of Totana during the 2007-2011 term, Juan was Pedaneo de Lebor, a district where he lives with his family, during the years 1995-2007
Juan Pagán's career as a farmer has led him to hold positions of responsibility in this area, being President of the Totana Irrigators Community Tajo-Segura Transfer in the years 2004-2016.
He has been a member of the Central Union of Irrigators of the Tajo-Segura Transfer since 2013-2016 and a member of the Water Council of the Segura River Basin District during 2012-2016.
The Popular Party has entrusted Juan Pagán with the candidacy for the mayoralty of the municipality in the next elections, for which he has been appointed by the electoral committee and ratified by the Regional Party, which has expressed his satisfaction that Pagán is the candidate for the Mayor of Totana.
The electoral Committee thanked the work, commitment and effort of Isabel María Sánchez Ruiz, twice showing the candidacy for mayor by the Popular Party and winning the two elections to which it was presented, in a time of crisis, very difficult for the town.
Tireless worker at the head of the mayor's office and in opposition.
Isabel María will continue to hold the presidency of the PP at the local level.
