The Local Government Board has recently approved the collaboration agreement with the Friends of Music Association of El Paretón for the year 2018 for an amount of 6,000 euros to defray part of the expenses derived by this entity.
The Department of Culture of the City of Totana considers as a priority objective to invigorate and facilitate the realization of activities and initiatives aimed at achieving the participation of cultural associations in the development of community life, as well as contribute to the promotion and consolidation of the association through the timely economic collaboration, to ensure better functioning and greater stability of cultural associations.
In this sense, and taking into account the educational and cultural work in the field of music that the Friends of Music Association of El Paretón has been playing in the municipality for years, from this Department arises the need to collaborate economically with said association, within the municipal budget possibilities.
As compensation for the collaboration indicated, the Association undertook to collaborate in the year 2018 in the Patron Saint Festivities of Paretón (July and August) and in the Concert of Passionate Marches, and in the Concert in honor of Santa Cecilia.
In addition, any action outside this agreement, and in which the Music Band is required, will be negotiated with the City Council for their contribution, depending on the performance.
The City Council of Totana cedes the use of the classrooms of the School of Music of El Paretón-Cantareros for the development of the activities of this entity.
Likewise, the Consistory is committed to assume the expenses of light, water and cleaning of said premises;
to install a mobile stage in the Multipurpose Room for the organization of local activities;
to the maintenance of repairs of the premises, as well as to a periodic review of the facilities and the garden in order to preserve the cleanliness of the environment;
and to make any other extraordinary expense and collaboration, within the budgetary possibilities.
