The Military Emergency Unit (UME) and Civil Protection of Totana will receive next Sunday, November 11, the "X Pimentón de Oro" award during the XI Gang Meeting of El Raiguero, which is held every year organized by the Asociación Emperemos a Caminar and the Rural Women of this village totanera.
The groups from Zaraiche, Isla Plana, La Hoya, Asociación Trovera "El Repuntín", Grupo "El Patiñero", Cardoso I and II and Tomás García Martínez on guitar will participate in the contest.
The event will start at 11:30 am with the welcome to the participating teams, honorees, authorities and businessmen of the agricultural and livestock sectors and exporters of the region;
and at 12:00 noon, the Holy Mass will be celebrated.
At the end of this, about 12:00 hours, the tribute to Francisco Martínez "El Paticas" and Ramón Ruiz Rosello "El Saltitos" and the delivery of the "X Pimentón de Oro" award will be celebrated.
At 1:00 pm, the campero lunch will take place with products made with the paprika "La Flor del Guadalentín", contributed by the Association of Producers of Peppers for Paprika from Guadalentín Valley.
Later, at 1:30 p.m., there will be a performance by the participating squads and popular food (2:00 p.m.).
The meeting will resume at 4:00 pm after lunch.
