The Business Incubator of Totana, located in the industrial estate "El Saladar", will host next Wednesday, October 24, the 10th Conference on Local Economies in the Region of Murcia, organized by the Faculty of Labor Sciences of the University of Murcia. Murcia (UMU), through the Observatory of Rural, Local and Employment Development.
The first deputy mayor and councilor of Economic Development, Juan José Cánovas, and the director of the conference and full professor of the Department of Applied Economics of the UMU, Francisco Carreño, today presented this complementary activity of the Degree in Labor Relations and Human Resources of this faculty, which have the collaboration of the Totanero Consistory.
In the same, which will bring together more than a hundred students in this academic discipline, will review the most relevant aspects of the current economic reality of local economies and will open a space for reflection on their future prospects in a situation of as much uncertainty as the current one, focusing the focus on Local Development and Heritage.
The days will be inaugurated by the local authorities, among them, the mayor of Totana, Andrés García Cánovas, and dean of the Faculty of Labor Sciences, Prudencio José Riquelme Perea, and the director of the conference, Professor Francisco Carreño Sandoval.
The program includes an activity on the operation of the Local Development Office of Totana and a framework paper entitled "Heritage and development", by the archaeologist and director of the Museum of the City of Mula, José Antonio Zapata.
Later, a round table will take place in which they will deepen and debate about the actions and experiences in the area of ​​local development in several municipalities of the Region, counting on the technical contribution of agents of Local Development of Bullas, Jumilla and Totana.
The participants will eat in Totana and, in the afternoon, they have programmed tourist visits to the archaeological site of "La Bastida" and the place of La Santa in order to complete the day of formative coexistence outside the classrooms.
