The mayor of Totana, Andrés García, accompanied by the Town Planning Councilor, Carlos Ballester, attended the presentation of the aid of the Housing Plan 2018/21 that took place today in the Ministry of Development and Infrastructure.
The aid of the Housing Plan 2018/21 will reactivate the building sector since four of the nine subsidy programs will have a direct impact on the workload of professionals engaged in activities related to housing.
Of the total aid budget amounting to 80 million euros, more than 47 will affect the access and improvement of housing conditions in the Region of Murcia.
The Minister of Development and Infrastructure, Patricio Valverde, has held a meeting with representatives of the different municipalities of the Region of Murcia in order to inform them of the upcoming calls for aid.
The Ministry highlights "the great employment opportunities" involved in the implementation of the housing plan, "which will be a stimulus for people who are dedicated to the building sector and positive impact on the regional economy."
Patricio Valverde has referred to four programs that affect riggers and technical architects.
The first is aimed at promoting the rental housing park, which has a budget of 13.88 million euros, and is aimed at subsidizing new work such as rehabilitation.
Another line of subsidy, endowed with more than 14 million euros, promotes conservation, improving security of use and accessibility.
Thanks to this program, people who want to make more accessible the interior of their homes and the common spaces of their buildings will be able to obtain aid of 8,000 to 17,000 euros per home.
"The installation of elevators, access ramps to buildings or stair climbing platforms are subject to this subsidy, as well as video door entry systems, door automations or luminaires, as well as the adaptation of bathrooms and kitchens", explained the counselor who indicated that the amount varies depending on the degree of disability of the applicants who, in any case, must reside in a house built before 1996.
In addition, the new Housing Plan has a housing program for seniors and people with disabilities whose budget amounts to 4.81 million euros.
The objective of these subsidies is the construction of houses under rent or assignment of use regime.
The beneficiaries can be administrations and public, companies and NGOs.
Aid can reach 400 euros per square meter, with a maximum of 40 percent of the investment, and up to 9.5 euros per square meter, in rental price.
