VII Peñarrubia Trail and XXVI Carrera de Nonduermas


On the morning of Sunday, September 16, the seventh edition of the "Peñarrubia Trail: Grand Prix Regino Rodriguez Bermejo" took place.

Paying homage to the great athlete Lorca, best person and friend of our club, who left us last July.

As in previous editions, the athletes could participate in two tests, on the one hand the short version of 12 km and on the other the long version of 24 km.

The athlete of the CAT, Bartolomé Sánchez "Memé" decided on the Mini Peñarrubia trail, finished the 12 km test with a time of 1 hour, 18 minutes and 41 seconds, finishing in the position 16 of the general classification.

That same morning took place the traditional popular race of the hamlet of Murcia Nonduermas, it was about 10,000 meters, the circuit was composed of two laps, with the profile completely flat.

It involved more than six hundred runners, including CAT athletes: Aida Esparza, Bartolo Sánchez and Mirian Titz.

The first to cross the finish line was Bartolo with a time of 51 minutes and 47 seconds, finishing in position 40 in the M45 category.

A few minutes later Aida finished, with a time of 1 hour, 2 minutes and 30 seconds in the 10th position of the Senior Women category and Miriam with 1 hour, 2 minutes and 33 seconds being the 13th in the M35 Women category.
