The calendar of parties in neighborhoods and districts of Totana during this summer of 2018 will last from this coming weekend, with the "Mojito Party" organized by the Brotherhood of the Kiss of Judas, until the beginning of October, which will end with the festivities from the San Francisco neighborhood;
with a total of 18 celebrations spread over the weekends throughout the summer.
The councilman of Celebration, Agustín González Martínez, has presented the scheduled program of parties in all neighborhoods and districts of the municipality of Totana, in order to publicize the holidays and dates distributed throughout the next summer.
The festivities begin on June 1 and 2 with the traditional festival that the Brotherhood of the Kiss of Judas, which organized in the square that bears his name, which is popularly known as the "Fiesta del Mojito".
Afterwards from June 22 to 23, the celebrations begin in neighborhoods, with those of the Olympic-Las Peras-Estación-Triptolemos, which will take place in Vasco de Gama street, next to the School Room.
That same weekend, from June 22 to 24, will be celebrated the neighborhood parties of San Juan in the hamlet of El Paretón.
The first weekend of July, from June 29 to July 1, will be the celebrations of Lébor;
and the next, from July 6 to 7, those of Carivete Vineyards.
In addition, on July 7, the Hermandad de la Verónica will organize its traditional summer party next to the headquarters of the Brotherhood.
The month of July includes the festivities of Las Lomas de El Paretón from July 13 to 15, in the Plaza de la Iglesia Nueva de las Lomas.
The urbanization "La Charca" also celebrates, from 13 to 14 July, in the restaurant-bar of the urbanization;
and finally, in the month of July, the festivities of El Raiguero Bajo, from July 20 to 22 in its own hermitage.
The month of August will begin with the festivities that will be celebrated from 3 to 5, in La Costera-Ă‘orica, in the Camino Viejo del Majuelo;
and in El Raiguero Alto, on the esplanade of the Church of Santo Domingo de Guzmán.
The fairground of El Paretón-Cantareros will host from 10 to 15 August its traditional festivities of this district in honor of the Virgin of the Assumption of Mary;
and also from 11 to 16 will be those of San Roque in the Ermita square of this totanero neighborhood.
The month of August will end with the festivities of La Paloma in La Calzona, from the 17th to the 19th, which are resumed after a year of rest.
In addition, from August 31 to September 2, will be the celebrations of the neighborhood of San José in the Plaza de la Ermita de San José;
from September 7 to 9 those of La Huerta;
and the days of 14 to 16 those of Santa Leocadia in the hermitage of Santa Leocadia.
And finally to end these festivities, the first weekend of October from 5 to 7, will be held in San Francisco in the neighborhood of San Francisco de Asis, which receives this name and urbanization "El Parral" and "La Ramblica" , respectively.
The councilor thanked all neighborhood associations and social groups for their involvement in this calendar of festivals that are part of Totana's cultural heritage, as well as the Local Police and Civil Protection for their involvement to make these.
