On Saturday 15 November, the Department of Sports of Totana and the Chess Club, Chess Tournament organized framed in the School Sports Programme, which took place in the Multipurpose Room of the Municipal Swimming Pool, which had a participation of 33 students from several schools in the area, aged between 8 and 16.

The winners in different categories were convened Alejanadro Cayuela Tudela (Colegio La Cruz) in male benjamin, José Victor García López (Santiago College) in male juvenile, Beatriz Jiménez Cánovas Natividad (Colegio San Cristobal de Aledo) in juvenile female, Pedro Moya (Colegio La Milagrosa) in male children, and Guerao Daniel Sánchez (Colegio La Milagrosa) in male cadet.

The tournament concluded with the presentation of trophies to the top three finishers in each category, by the Totana Chess Club President, Peter Garrett.

Participants in the chess tournament will also have the opportunity to take part on 29th November in the first day Abarán Regional School Chess Championship in Murcia, organized by the Directorate General for Sports, for the child category , cadet and youth.

There will also be a day for more alevin on 13 December.
