The Directorate General of Housing and Architecture, the Department of Public Works, Housing and Transport, has granted this week to the City of Totana important pathways grants for rehabilitation of the house of the General Aznar total of 291,500 euros, equivalent to 50% planned investment, and another 25,000 euros to draft the redevelopment of the Plaza Balsa Vieja.
As for the rehabilitation of the Casa del General Aznar, whose grant was processed earlier this year, the total budget for the rehabilitation work amounts to the amount of 538,000 euros, for which he had requested such help, and the rest will be financed by the City.
The City Council of Totana property recently acquired the property from the house of General Aznar of the town, with the purpose of carrying out a comprehensive reform of it to make it new municipal offices, and improve the quality of service provided to citizens basic services concentrating around the main building.
Moreover, as regards the redevelopment of the old central square raft, the Department of Planning and Sustainable Development aims to revitalize and strengthen the use of this space, giving it its own character and where possible to accommodate multiple uses, from walking, leisure and social relations.
To this end, a competition of ideas that were a total of 16 papers.
