The project "European Voluntary Service (EVS), recently launched by the Youth Council, together with the Collective for Social Promotion" The Candle "in the short period of time it takes to use, it has made a positive balance his short career.
During this time he has had with numerous people who have requested information interested by it, providing the technician responsible for the solution to any question, information and documentation about the country of destination, of possible projects to choose or the same service.
During these four months in the town of Totana EVS have been conducted, in addition, many activities: making identification of the Service logo, brochures, participation in local village associations, contact with the vast majority of countries comprise the European Union advised of the possibility of sending their young and welcome in our town, making the necessary protocols and the proposed action if the host young Europeans, etc.
The Service is fully operational, with the application can still be done by those interested in moving to another country to develop voluntary tasks, since the end of August to continue with the tasks of information, guidance and selection of potential participants.
For the month of September, plans to send volunteers to the various European countries and the host of two young Europeans in the town, so they can contribute to social development in Totana, bringing their experience and culture.
The purpose of this service is to facilitate the stay of young people in European countries, participating in an altruistic and voluntary in any social project, a project that will be chosen by the same young man as well as provide an intercultural learning through active participation , increase their employability by acquiring unique experiences and the opportunity to learn or improve a new language.
EVS duration is between six and twelve months, and he works for the benefit of a group, association or entity operating, without assuming the replacement of any job by a non-profit activities, with total funding travel, accommodation and meals.
The requirements for participation in this project are very specific: you just have to be between 18 and 30, be registered at the town of Totana and be willing to be actively involved in the project you choose.
From the Youth Council encourages all young people between 18 and 30 to use this service as beneficial for personal development, social and professional, and parents and municipality entities to disseminate and transmit to their young that service.
