The Department of Sports reports that last Saturday, January 23, took place in Molina de Segura Regional Final Table Tennis School Sports, organized by the Directorate General of Sports in the Region of Murcia.
In it, the male youth team IES "Juan de la Cierva" formed by Domingo Mendez, Santiago Mendez and Mario Lopez, took second place after losing in the final with the IES "Sierra Carrascoy" El Palmar.
The event concluded with the presentation of trophies and medals to the top three finishers, by the Director General of Sports in the Region of Murcia, Alonso Gómez López teams.
The same day the 1st regional conference of Chess School Sports in Los Alcázares, and open juvenile categories, which included the participation of 16 totaneros school, also took place belonging to the schools "Tierno Galvan", "Regional" "La Milagrosa", "Reina Sofia" and the IES "Juan de la Cierva".
In the juvenile category, it is noteworthy 10th place finish by Carmen Garcia Requena (Tierno Galvan);
while in the Open category should be emphasized to the students of IES Juan de la Cierva, especially Juan Jose Vera Pargada (4th place), Cindy Ceron Amaguaya (5th place), Martin Otalora Berenger (7th place) and Alejandro Cayuela Tudela (9th place).
These same participants in chess have the second date in the Regional Chess Final to be held on Saturday, February 13, also in Los Alcázares.
Finally, on Wednesday January 20 took place in Puerto Lumbreras, the Regional Final Cross Country School Sports in the categories of children, cadet and youth, where 27 schools participated totaneros.
They belonged to the schools "Juan de la Cierva", "Prado Mayor", "Reina Sofia" and "La Milagrosa".
In it, he highlighted the 12th position achieved by Pedro Martínez González (Prado Mayor), in the male junior category;
Aledo and Silvia Martinez (La Milagrosa), which got 16 th place in the female cadet category.
In the other categories, also highlight Salma Mendoub (Prado Mayor), 65th place in female children;
Pedro Martinez Escarabajal (Reina Sofia), 48 th place in male cadet;
Ana Heredia Mendez (Juan de la Cierva), 20 th place in female youth;
