Totana hosts a training day on the main legislative developments in Gender Violence

More than 70 people, including legal professionals, the Judiciary and the Security Forces of the State, have gathered today at the training day on the main legislative developments in Gender Violence, organized by the Centre Specialized Care for Women Victims of Domestic Violence (CAVI) Under Guadalentín.

The session was opened by the Mayor of Totana, Juan José Canovas, and the Director General of Women, Alicia Barquero, and was held at the auditorium of the headquarters of the Local Police of Totana;

and in which event was attended by the Councillor for Equality, Eulalia Moreno, and numerous skilled in the art.

The day has been directed mainly to the components of the Local Coordination Bureau of Domestic Violence Totana, as are agents of the Local Police and Civil Guard, and technical professionals CAVI's regional network of lawyers, experts and Thursday in the art.

During the day the judge of the Court of 1st Instance and Instruction No. 3 of Totana, José Basterra Perez de los Cobos, addressed the judge functions as judge of gender violence.

The lawyer of the Bar Association of Murcia, Blanca Castilla, addressed the issue of joint custody in a context of domestic violence, as well as modifications to the existing Legal Aid Act.

In addition, the head of area 1 of the Organic Unit of the Judicial Police of the 5th district of Murcia Civil Guard (EMUME), Sergeant Augustine Lopez Molina, new risk assessments presented with the new rules referred law on gender violence.

Finally, the day ended with the exposure made the psychologist and social worker CAVI Bajo Guadalentín, Catalina Vidal and Ruth Muñoz, on the emotional state of women to the complaint and the latest changes regarding resources in this area.

It was closed by the councilor of this department, Eulalia Moreno, who congratulated the organizers and promoters of this training initiative and the degree of acceptance that has had among the professionals involved in this issue.

The mayor explained that more and more social programs enabling the society aware of this problem, but we must continue to persevere in this field and called for local councils, as closest government, are essential for prevention and social care, legal and psychological state established regulations.

He also commented that the violence is not alien or remote us because, at present, in our town there are women with protection order in effect and many others have lodged complaints about this problem;
