Councilwoman Market Weekly, Getrudis Ruiz, visited different exhibitors and stalls of the weekly market on Wednesday accompanied by municipal technicians, in order to see first hand the needs of street vendors and remind the mandatory rules for the proper functioning and providing this service.
The mayor has made available to traders for any queries, complaints or suggestions regarding the implementation of this weekly service;
while it has been handed a document with the main rules they have for proper development.
The Department notes that there is a weekly market Internal Regulations, the failure of street vendors engaged in the activity in this county, otherwise, may incur the corresponding lack and economic sanctions.
It is noted that positions may not exceed the limits indicated in the driveway, both at the causeway, and height;
and it is reported that the hours of operation as well as assembly and disassembly of the weekly market, indicated on the back of the license sale, is mandatory.
In addition, the vehicles stay on the premises of the market, the hours of operation thereof not meet this ban, it will incur serious misconduct is prohibited;
and placing compulsory license sales in a visible place of each stall.
Also it notes that vendors will lose their licenses for the sale for non-payment of an overdue quarter, in which case the rights to the automatic position and definitely will be lost without warning from the 1st of the following month.
The City Council warns that the occupants of the street with stalls have to leave the occupied zone in the same clean condition to that found on arrival, leaving garbage and waste in bags or boxes for collection, by municipal cleaning services.
Similarly, the sale commonly called "wholesale failure" is strictly prohibited, so any merchant that does not have a license to sell in this market, may not hold at any time any place that was empty any given day.
All of the above rules, must necessarily be met by each of the vendors engaged in the activity in this county, otherwise they will incur the corresponding lack and economic sanctions.
The council recalls that provides service to the public in matters related to the weekly market every Wednesday from 9:00 to 14:00.
