The Department of Citizenship reported that during the month of September will begin the process for the election of new mayors-headman in the eight districts of the municipality of Totana, a process that will take place in a participatory way through the system of open lists.
The participatory process will include information campaigns and local broadcasting in order that all residents of the districts know firsthand the procedure to be followed and to stand as candidates if they wish.
It is also scheduled to hold voting sessions in each of the districts to be the residents who choose their representatives.
In the districts in which only present a candidate will proceed with ratification day giving the opportunity for the neighbors who wish to express their agreement with the candidate.
