More than 400 students from sixth year of primary education in all schools of Totana participated today in the School Olympiad was held at the sports center "December 6" and has the invaluable collaboration of teachers of Physical Education schools.
The activity is organized by the Department of Sports and it has benefited from the presence of the Mayor of Totana, Isabel Maria Sanchez, and the Councillor of the Department, Bartholomew Pallares.
Participating students have enjoyed every moment offering an Olympiad, such as opening parade of all the countries represented by the schools, the route of the torch with the Olympic flag and the lighting of the Olympic cauldron.
In addition, students have had the opportunity to practice various sports such as high jump, long jump, shot put, javelin, speed and endurance, among others.
The mayor thanked the involvement of teachers of Physical Education to realize this activity and reminded that sport promotes transversal values education.
