The city of Totana, specifically from the areas of Youth and Education, closed the educational effort in which seven students from the University of Murcia have helped 35 children studies in sociocultural disadvantage, thanks to the collaboration with the UMU and totanero consistory.
The 35 children, along with the seven youths, participated in the closing ceremony was chaired by the Mayor of Totana, Isabel Maria Sanchez, and the Councillor for Education, Josefa Maria Sanchez, who thanked the staff work that each of the young teachers have made with little in the different schools.
As the mayor of Education said this project has been aimed at strengthening the educational processes to promote personal and social development of children, especially those who are in disadvantaged situations.
Thus, as Mendez Sanchez said, is prevent and reduce problems of failure, absenteeism and early school dropout.
Thus, it performs a complementary intervention to the school, from a conception of coordination between the different social actors involved in the educational process of children and young people who should read this project.
Students have completed the project in schools of the college of La Cruz, San Jose, Santiago, Reina Sofia, Luis Perez Rueda, Tierno Galván and Santa Eulalia.
