The Mayor of Totana, Isabel Maria Sanchez Ruiz, takes office today in Madrid as a member in the Security and Coexistence of the Spanish Federation of Municipalities and Provinces.
Sánchez Ruiz, along with 24 mayors of different cities and municipalities, integrated nationally through the committee which is intended to promote effective measures for the protection of the citizen.
The main objective of the FEMP, at the municipal level, as explained by the municipal councilor totanera, is to promote greater coordination in law enforcement and public safety in particular.
Among other actions promote effective measures for comprehensive protection against gender violence, and develop action plans that promote road safety, it performs the action of the municipal police in their functions of judicial police, the regulation of associations of local police, the regulation of the Security and Local Boards, the promotion and regulation of Local Security Councils.
In addition, through the agency also promoted collaboration agreements between entities, resolutions, technical reports on specific actions are carried out conferences, technical seminars, encourages the formation of the State Security Forces, among other actions.
