Over seventy people attended the talk on the red palm weevil, organized by the Department of Agriculture, in the plenary hall in the afternoon yesterday, and which became known how to perform the protocol Disinfestation of the palm and so tackle the pest with the maximum guarantees.
The conference, which was given by the agricultural engineer belonging to the Plant Health Service of the Ministry of Agriculture and Water in the Region of Murcia, Telesforo Garcia Crevillén.
The same was attended by the Councillor for Agriculture, Diego Munoz and Services Councilwoman Maria Jose Bedia, who explained the importance of knowing about the prevention and action against a plague of these characteristics.
