The Children's Plenary "What we do in Totana" will be held next Monday, November 20, coinciding with the celebration of the International Day of the Rights of the Child, starting at 10:00 am, in the municipal plenary hall;

and will have the participation of a total of five schools in the municipality.

The Councilor for Education, Eulalia Moreno, along with students from several of the educational centers involved in this project have presented this initiative, which is promoted by the municipal areas of Education and Youth, with the collaboration of the Totana schools.

This will be the second children's plenary session to be held, since in the first edition held last year was about "The Totana we want" and was elected as mayor to the student of the CEIP "Santa Eulalia", Marta Sanchez Martinez.

This project is aimed at students of 5th and 6th grade of Primary Education and 1st and 2nd of ESO of the students of the municipality.

On this occasion, the participants were students from the schools "Santa Eulalia", "Santiago", "Comarcal-Deitania", "Luis Pérez Rueda" and "Reina Sofía".

This action aims to publicize the value of democratic participation, as well as to know and use the participatory means of the City of Totana, specifically, the municipal plenary;

and know the concerns and suggestions of the youngest about the state of the municipality.

In the second plenary session will be staged the new municipal Corporation formed by school representatives of participating schools, who will transfer during the session the consensus proposals in each of their schools.

The participating schools have presented political projects and held elections for child councilors in each of their schools, from which the 21 boys and girls will come to represent their centers in the II Children's Plenary Session entitled "What we do in Totana" .

The spokespersons of the school representatives of the different schools, who previously have been democratically appointed by their peers in their respective centers after working on this project, will take possession of their positions and will publicly present the papers and proposals on which they have worked. , defending a government program with concrete actions for Totana.

Subsequently, by voting, the most interesting project will be chosen, with the most interesting project chosen and invested as mayor / sa the person who heads the list of said school.

In addition, during the school year, a monitoring commission of the Children's Plenary meets with politicians and municipal technicians on two occasions to take stock of the proposals that the students make to the plenary body through their different projects and needs.
