EXTRAORDINARY PLENARY 24-06-17 POPULAR MUNICIPAL GROUP.

Good morning to all corporate and all the neighbors and assistants from outside our municipality as well as to all the people who are watching and listening to us through the media.
First of all, my first words I want to thank the outgoing Mayor Juan José Cánovas for the service he has rendered to the city of Totana as a public servant.
Having had the honor of representing the neighbors of this town as mayor, I know firsthand that this institutional responsibility implies the greatest pride and satisfaction that a public office can boast.
I am aware that in this way, there are many obstacles and problems that we encounter, some of them we even do ours sometimes, but our vocation of public service is greatly rewarded when we are able to channel or solve a problem of a neighbor .
In two years of the legislature, from the Popular Municipal Group we have worked from the opposition with loyalty to the Institution and in a constructive way to defend the general interest of the neighbors of Totana seeking consensus and offering positive alternatives to the government action in The priority issues for this town.
As an example of this, it could name the collaboration of the Popular Party in the management of the municipal societies Cedeto and Proinvitosa, our permanent and dynamic contribution in the work of finalizing the General Municipal Plan of Ordination, in the continuation of our traditions and their Value, in bringing investments and important projects for the development of our polygon as the ITV, among others.
In addition, the Municipal People's Group has been at this time a loyal and legitimate transmission belt in different topics of interest that have affected Totana giving its fruits from the legislative point of view in the Regional Assembly and from the perspective of the executive with the different Departments Of the Regional Government of the Autonomous Community.
In short we have worked to give an impulse to the Municipal Government collaborating and being always where we have been demanded and contributing in what we considered beneficial for the town of Totana.
From the Popular Party we have tried with this that the government team had a constructive opposition, a tool that I missed and that I would have liked to support me in my four years of government in the mayor's office.
We will be loyal but very demanding, with only one interest: to improve the quality of life of the residents of Totana.
Mr. Mayor you have an arduous task and responsibility ahead, so from today you must distribute the duties and tasks to your councilors, as there are many things to do and many fronts to attend,
Two years of government already, so that more than finished the time to oppose the opposition, more than finished the continuous eluding of their responsibilities blaming their mistakes to the popular party, discourse very outdated.
It is urgent that they are put to govern and to make transcendent decisions for the future of Totana , I do not have the slightest doubt that you can do it with ease, since they have 9 councilors released to fulfill the demands of the neighbors.
In addition Mr. Mayor must know how to lead a Government Team, of course with many fissures and divergences too severe, which only hurt the attention to neighbors, business development and support to social groups .........
Mr. Mayor you have to make a great effort for the consensus and the dialogue in the Institution and to increase the participation with the totanera society and with the main group of the opposition.
From Grupo Popular we hope that this second stage of the legislature will be more profitable and productive than these first two years, although we know that second parties were never good.
Mr. Mayor, you have immediate and very important challenges ahead, such as approving a municipal budget that is still pending since 2015, the finalization of the PGMO, the improvement of services to the city, etc ... ..
There are two years of legislature ahead, from the Popular Municipal Group we will continue with the hand stretched to create bridges and offer proposals for this corporation to have the greatest successes and successes that result in the people of Totana, our people and our people.
In conclusion, I would like to congratulate the new mayor on behalf of the People's Party and put ourselves at his disposal.
