The staff of the Community Conservation Service "have carried out various inspections of the regional roads to determine and quantify the damage, take the most appropriate action and plan the execution of the works", which will begin in the coming weeks.

The head of the Department of Development stressed that emergency works "are a priority for the regional government because they require a more immediate action for having suffered greater damage" and, therefore, "we will implement them as quickly as possible."

Rivera said that these emergency actions "were not within the conservation forecasts and, therefore, had no allocated budgets", hence the regional government has had to allocate the necessary budget to meet these unforeseen needs.

The works will consist of rebuilding of the firm, slopes and walls of masonry in order to give greater support to the firm, the repair of scaffolds and the rehabilitation of the road affected by rock, stone and earth landslides on the road.

The budget of the works ranges from 55,000 to 340,000 euros.

4.2 million in damages
