The Councilor for Finance, Ana María Cánovas, recalled that the municipal budgets of 2015 had to be approved by the current government team in the City of Totana and that since then has been working with an extended municipal budget.
The mayor wanted to leave to the step of the public communiqué made yesterday by the Popular Municipal Group in which denounced the non approval of the municipal budget corresponding to the year 2016.
In this regard, the council has reported that her department has worked "with impetus" in the budget for the year 2016 and has noted that the document was sent to the Ministry of Finance in that year.
Regarding this matter, he pointed out that this ministerial body has not answered the City Council by having the withholding of State Taxes for not having approved the Adjustment Plan previously made by the previous government team of the PP.
Ana María Cánovas has reiterated that the budget for 2016 was made and was approved, in fact, in November 2016, being sent to the Ministry as the toistance Consistory was intervened.
In addition, he referred to the numerous problems encountered by the current municipal government team in the departments of Intervention and Treasury for the state of neglect in the action of the former municipal government of the PP.
The Councilor for Finance has commented that one of the major problems that had the budget of 2016 was to recognize the more than 2.2 million euros of payments made to Social Security that had produced a huge gap, and that came from the year 2010 to 2015 unacknowledged by the previous government team, which had made it difficult to provide budget coverage.
